Thursday October 27th

Early Packet Pick-Up and Wine Reception

5:00pm-8:00pm  San Francisco (exact location TBD):  Pick-up your race packet early and mingle with other runners and race staff while you enjoy the areas wines.  Location and further details will be announced soon!  Advance registration is required and cost is $25.00. Sign up for this option in advance during Race Registration or via post registration “Race Extras” if you’ve already registered for the race.

Friday October 28th

Race Orientation, wine tasting, and wood fired pizza! You must be registered for this event or pay at the door (if space is available, limited to 100 people).  Cost is $30.00. Sign up for this option in advance during Race Registration or via post registration “Race Extras” if you’ve already registered for the race.

Saturday October 29th

5:30am to 6:30am:  Bus transportation to start area from various locations
7:15am:  RACE START at Francis Ford Coppola Winery
9:30am to Noon:  Wine & Music Festival in Warm Springs Recreation Area Live band, wine tasting, exhibitors, food & beverages, sampling
10:30am to 11:15am: Awards Ceremony and costume contest

Noon to 4:00pm: Halloween Carnival and Kids Pumpkin Run at Coppola Winery

1:30-4:30pm:  Clos du Bois Winery – Finishers Party!  Clos du Bois wine tasting, BBQ, live band and lawn activities! Must be signed up in advance.

Kids Pumpkin Run & Carnival

Pumpkin Run for Kids

Join the fun at the Halloween Carnival and Kids Pumpkin Run after the Wine & Music Festival. Run through the vineyards, face painting, Carnival games, pumpkin patch, poster signing. Free admission to the carnival.

Enter kids ages 4 to 12 in the Pumpkin Run

Cost: $20 – Each child receives a t-shirt and a trick or treat bag. Races start at 12:30pm

Course lengths by age group:

  • 4-6 years – 1/8 mile,
  • 7-9 years – 1/4 mile
  • 10-12 years – 1/2 mile

Wine and Music Festival

Saturday, October 29th

Running 13.1 miles through the wine country deserves its rewards. One crossing the finish line you will have your timing chip removed, then your finisher’s medal will be placed around your neck. Then proceed to the runners only Recovery Tent for water, refreshments, snacks and energy. Once your recovered runners will be able to pick up their wine glass next to the Destination Races merchandise tent in the festival area.

Glasses are included in your entry fee this year. If you purchased any extra wine glasses for friends or family, your bib will indicate if (and how many) glasses you’ve purchased. You must be 21 or over to receive a glass and you must wear the wrist band provided to participate in the tasting which starts at 9:30am. The awards ceremony will be held at approximately 10:30am. If still available, extra glasses will be available for purchase at the merchandise tent for $20.

A welcome reception will be held at on Saturday at Truett-Hurst Winery.  The reception will be held from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and includes wine and wood fired pizza! You’ll have an opportunity to meet other runners from around the world, as well as event staff, other sponsors and a special guest. Wine tasting and appetizers are included. Cost is $30 in advance.
